How to Read Your Laboratory Report
Concentrations, detection limits, reference values — a walkthrough of every field on your report.
Everyone · Reports
Each analyte row shows the measured concentration, the units of measurement, and the method detection limit — the smallest amount the analysis can reliably distinguish from zero.
A result reported as below the detection limit means the chemical was not measurable at that threshold, not that it was absent.
Reference values, where provided, are editable context fields set during report preparation. Interpretation should always consider the sampling context and, where appropriate, professional guidance.
